January 2017: 749.566 Persons in paid Employment

Dell Women's Entrepreneur Network event - NYCIn January 2017, the number of persons in paid employment in BiH amounted to 749.566, out of which there were 310.828 women.

As compared to December 2016, the number of persons in paid employment increase by 1,6% and the number of employed women increase by 1,8%.

The number of registered unemployed persons in January 2017 compared to December 2016 increase by 0,4% and the number of unemployed women also increase by 0,1%.

In January 2017 the number of registered unemployed in BiH amounted to 511.922.

If we take 2015 as a base year (2015 = 100) and compare January 2017 with the same month of 2016, we will notice that the number of unemployed decreased by 4,9 index points, or in absolute terms the number of people registered as unemployed decreased by 27.176.
