Japan donates new X-ray Machine to the BiH Institute for Health Care of Traffic Workers

On 1 August 2023, Ambassador KINEFUCHI attended the handover ceremony of “The Project for Equipping the Institute for Health Care of Traffic Workers Sarajevo with X-ray machine”, which was held at the premises institute in Sarajevo.

Mr. Enis Džafić, director of Public Enterprise Railways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina also attended the ceremony along with Ms. Halima Ćutuk, director of the Institute.

Ms. Ćutuk expressed her appreciation for the device that will improve quality of their service and pointed out that with the new device, patients’data can be shared with other institute which is efficient when patients move to other medical institute.

Ambassador KINEFUCHI showed his satisfaction for the project completion. He hopes that this assistance will help traffic workers and sustain transportation, which is essential for the people’s daily life in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Under “Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GAGP)” program, Japan granted 74,853 EUR (approx. 146,400 BAM) to equip the Institute for Health Care of Traffic workers Sarajevo with a X-ray machine for its patients.

The project is expected to contribute to the improvement diagnosis of approximately 5,500 patients who needs to be checked up with X-ray machine per year.
