The Embassy of Japan in Bosnia and Herzegovina announces that the Japanese Film Festival will be held in Banja Luka from 4th to 6th of February 2026 in cooperation with the Japan Foundation and Student Culture Center Banja Luka. This is a part of the Japanese Film Festival 2025-2026 in BiH, which is held in five cities of BiH from November 2025 to February 2026 and Banja Luka will host the finale of the festival. We are delighted to bring the festival back to Banja Luka this year as well, continuing to share the richness and diversity of Japanese cinema with audiences. The three films featured in this year’s festival reflect Japanese society and offer a unique opportunity for audiences to gain deeper insights into the country from various perspectives. Also, February 2026 marks a special occasion celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina. We hope that this film festival will serve as a bridge of friendship and mutual understanding between our two countries.
