eivindNorwegian Eiving Aarset is one of the most respected European guitarists today. At this year’s Jazz Fest, on Friday 8 November starting at 21:00, Aarset will present a repertory album Dream Logic, and the bassist Audun Erlien and two drummers Wetle Hotle and Erland Dahlen will also perform.

The first album under his own name Electronique Noir was released in 1998, and the next album Light Extracts was released three years later. After these albums his aesthetics was clear to the public and critics. The sounds of his guitar captivate critics and audiences and create sonic landscapes of magical beauty.

Until now, he was a guest on more than 150 albums with musicians such as Cher, Ray Charles, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Mike Mainier, Arilda Andersen, Dhafer Youssef, Nils Petter Molvaer and Djang Bates. He played on the album It’s a Man’s World that Cher released in 1996, and the album by Ray Charles Strong Love Affair from 1996.
