intershipThe Director of Public Institution “Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton” Igor Kamočaji and employers who have met the requirements of the public call “Program for strengthening competition in the labor market-first working experience” began this week to sign contracts on co-funding of trainings for work and to gain  first working experience.

300 unemployed people in Sarajevo Canton will get their first job through this program, announced the Service for employment of Sarajevo Canton for Agency Fena.

The public call for the program “First working experience” which the FB&H Employment Service published two months ago, had a great response in Sarajevo Canton, and in short time applied 360 employers, who have expressed the need for employment.

According to the Department for employment, 150 employers are selected upon the completion of the selection procedure.

First working experience aims to provide to unemployed youth a vocational training for work and to gain working experience in the professions in the fields in which they graduated. Employers who will hire interns, in accordance to the contract are required to provide to them mentors with adequate qualifications.

First working experience will be carried out for a period of one year for unemployed people with a university degree and six months for those with secondary education.

The FB&H Department for Employment has provided funding in the amount of 1.2 million BAM for the implementation of this program.
