John McLaughlin Begins his European Tour in Sarajevo

544f8e7c-f924-4b6b-9611-5ecbd973813e-john-mclaughlin-previewThe British guitarist John McLaughlin, one of the most influential guitarists in the world, will, along with his ensemble 4th Dimension and within this year’s Jazz Fest, start his European Tour in Sarajevo, on October 5th.

Along with the multi-instrumentalist Gary Husband, bassist Etienne Mbappé and drummer Ranjito Baroto he will stay in Sarajevo four days and prepare for their tour during which they will promote their album The Boston Record. McLaughlin’s team already booked the Studio Gramofon in Sarajevo where they will prepare their concert repertoire for the tour to be finished in Moscow on December 1st.

John McLaughlin is the winner of the Grammy award for the best instrumental jazz album in 2009. The Rolling Stone magazine classified him on the list of world greatest guitarists of all times while in jazz history he will remain known as the founder of Mahavishnu orchestra, the Shakti project and Miles Davis’s partner whit who he recorded 4 albums. Although he has 72 years, this guitarist shows an incredible musical vitality.
