Everyone is welcome, young ones and adults, big ones and small ones, the school stated.

Attendees acquire knowledge of moving and staying on a mountain, dangers on a mountain, technical equipment, first aid… Mountaineering School is also a prerequisite for enrolling in schools and trainings in mountaineering fields (alpine field, sports-hiking field, speleological field, guiding field).

Mountaineering school is divided into two units: theoretical part: lectures held on Thursdays at 7 p.m. at the premises of HGSS and practical part – trips and drills organized on weekends on mountains around Mostar: Prenj, Čvrsnica, Čabulja and Velež.

Apart from trips to nearby mountains, the school program also includes a visit to the cave Vjetrenica and a weekend of sports hiking in Omiš.

First lecture and beginning of the school is on April 7 at 7 p.m., at the premises of HGSS.
