Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić, Mayor of Sarajevo Benjamina Karić and Deputy Mayor Samir Avdić met in the City Hall with the President of JKPHD “La Benevolencije” Vladimir Andrle and Director of Archives of the Jewish Community in BiH Eli Tauber.

Chairman Komšić and Mayor Karić and Deputy Mayor Avdić expressed their support for the Bosnian Jewish community, which is an integral part of our society. The interlocutors agreed that anti-Semitism is absolutely unacceptable and is not part of our social tradition based on tolerance and living together. BiH has always been one society, one culture, and the Jews of Bosnia and Herzegovina have been an integral part of it for over five centuries, Komšić’s Cabinet announced.

The interlocutors agreed to continue the activities of building the Holocaust museum, appointing a special envoy for the fight against anti-Semitism at the BiH level, and continuing the joint fight against anti-Semitism and Islamophobia.
