Joint Patrols at the Cross Boarder Bijača / Nova Sela

gp bih 11111111International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission to BiH, in the context of the project funded by the UK government “Capacity building of members of the police force in BiH and Croatia to conduct joint patrols“, today at 11am, organized closing ceremony at the border crossing Bijača/ Nova Sela from the Croatian side.

It was announced that the ceremony will be attended by the Deputy Ambassador of UK JoLomas, Director of the Border Police Vinko Dumačić, chief of the Border Interior Ministry of Croatia  Zlatko Sokolar,  Head of the Mission in BiH and sub-regional coordinator for the Western Balkans Gianluca Rocco as well as senior representatives of the Border Police of  BiH and Croatia.

The meeting will mark the handing of certificates to 340 participants belonging to the police controls that have undergone training during the implementation of the project.

 During the implementation of the project there are developed and distributed, manuals, which will facilitate the implementation of mixed joint patrols of the  border between BiH and Croatia. One manual focuses on the national legislation of BiH and Croatia, while other represent curriculum for the implementation of mixed patrols in accordance with the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of  BiH and the Croatian Government on cooperation and border control.
