Jordan Aviation continues with Flights from Sarajevo in the Winter Period

Airline Jordan Aviation, which started with charter flights this summer, will continue with flights from Amman to Sarajevo in the winter period as well.

“After several months of successful negotiations between the airlines Jordan Aviation and Sarajevo Airport, and the very successful promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Jordan through USAID’s Tourism project in partnership with the Tourist Board of Sarajevo Canton – Visit Sarajevo, the Foreign Trade Chamber of BIH, representatives of local tour operators, as well as the Association of travel agents in Jordan, the airline Jordan Aviation has established a regular charter line on the Amman-Sarajevo route, and based on demand, we already have confirmation that the flights will continue in the winter flight schedule of 2023,” it was announced from Sarajevo International Airport.

The establishment of this airline represents a multiple benefit for tourism and is a reliable proof of commitment to its strengthening and development in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Airline Jordan Aviation applied to the Public Call for the opening of the base, which Sarajevo International Airport announced last year with plans to connect the capital of BiH with European destinations as well as to increase frequencies at some of the existing destinations, which unfortunately has not yet happened due to certain technical and administrative obstacles related to obtaining the necessary approvals regarding air freedom, and for now only charter flights have been agreed.

“Our strategic interest is to expand the network of destinations from/to Sarajevo, and we can confirm that we are intensively negotiating with a significant number of airlines, including Jordan Aviation, in order to increase traffic and introduce new destinations. In support of these negotiations is the support of the Government of CS regarding the adopted Program for subsidizing airlines, and we believe in a positive outcome when it comes to the ongoing negotiations,” said the Sarajevo airport administration.
