As the impressions following the spectacular jubilee tenth edition of the Red Bull Cliff Diving Series in Mostar are still settling, we are bringing you a photo story that summarizes all that took place the previous week in the city on the Neretva River.

Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series arrived in Mostar for the tenth time the previous week, the earliest so far, at the height of the summer and tourist season, which gave a further contribution to the overall atmosphere.

The programme was officially opened on Wednesday, July 29th, with an advance screening of the documentary film “The Deepest Dive,” directed by Lejla Zvizdić. The film is a story that connects Mostar dives and contemporary Red Bull Cliff Diving, revealing how they shaped the city’s identity together and made Mostar one of the most recognizable places on the world’s cliff diving scene.

After the movie, a concert of the Bosnian and Herzegovinian band Mostar Sevdah Reunion was also held, and the night concluded with a spectacular drone show in the night sky.

Also, the Lucky Draw was held on the same day – an interesting quiz in which divers showcased their knowledge about Mostar and fought for their desired positions in the diving order. In that way, they announced a competitive part of the program, which started on Thursday, July 30th with a first round of dives. On the first day of the competition, the best in the men’s competition was Gary Hunt, while Xantheia Pennisi and Molly Carlson were tied in the women’s category. Also, on Thursday, the legendary Colombian diver, current sport director of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, Orlando Duque, and Australian Marion Reiff, one of the most experienced judges in the World Series, for the group of Mostar people from different branches held a workshop and taught them the dive scoring rules.

Friday, July 31, brought continued excitement in the second and third rounds of dives as Rhiannan Iffland and Carlos Gimeno took the lead, culminating in the deciding series on Saturday, August 1.

The final round was opened with a performance from the Old Bridge by Divanhana, followed by Red Bull athlete Issa Kalfon, who entertained the crowd with a spectacular jetpack show. After an extremely thrilling fourth round of dives, victory went to Iffland and Constantin Popovici. With this triumph, the Australian also secured her tenth Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series champion title.

Great parties and several musical performances marked the nights in Mostar across various locations, including Bijeli Bar, Marshall, Lazy Bar, Alibaba, and Duradžik. The aforementioned musical group Divanhana performed at Bijeli Bar on Saturday, completing the sevdah atmosphere in the city on the Neretva.

We singled out some of the best photos and moments that marked the tenth edition of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series. Until the next time, see you!
