The International Center for Sports Studies (CIES) published today the list of the 100 most expensive football players, led by the Englishman Jude Bellingham.

The estimated value of the 20-year-old English representative and member of Real Madrid is 267.5 million euros.

His former teammate from Borussia Dortmund, and the current star of Manchester City, Norwegian Erling Haaland, is second with an estimated transfer value of 251.2 million euros, while the third Real Madrid player is Brazilian Vinicius Junior, who is worth 250.3 million euros.

In fourth place is another Real Madrid player, Brazilian Rodrigo (247.9), and in the Top 5 is also the young striker of the English national team and Arsenal, Bukajo Saka (223).

Interestingly, PSG and French national team striker Kylian Mbappe is not among the 20 most expensive players in the world, given that his contract expires in six months, Mbappe is valued at 106.2 million euros and holds the 27th place.

Compared to estimates published last June, the number of players with a transfer value of more than €100 million has almost doubled, from 20 to 39. The value of the hundredth highest-rated player is now €71.3 million, compared to €53.4 million in June 2023
