Jusuf Nurkić will play for the Utah Jazz in the future.

This was confirmed by NBA insider Shams Charania.

In exchange for the services of the Bosnian Beast, Collin Sexton is going to Charlotte, as well as a second-round pick in the 2030 NBA draft.

Nurkić has thus found a new environment far from the Hornets, where he did not play much last season. He will be able to prepare with a new team and help Utah achieve better results than those achieved last season, but before that he will participate in EuroBasket with the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

For the Utah Jazz, who finished last season in last place in the NBA league with a ratio of 17-65, the arrival of Nurkić represents a strengthening of the rotation under the basket and the opportunity to mentor the young Walker Kessler. Nurkić is entering the final year of a $19.3 million contract, with the Jazz having the option to buy him out or trade him before the season starts, depending on the club’s future plans.

Nurkić came to Charlotte from Phoenix last season due to disagreements with coach Mike Budenholzer, who was replaced by Jordan Ott in the meantime.

Nurkić averaged 9.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in Charlotte, N1 writes.
