Karadzic’s Lawyer banned from entering BiH: Who is Goran Petronijevic

Lawyer Goran Petrovijevic, a member of the defense of convicted war criminal Radovan Karadzic, was not allowed to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on Thursday because he poses a threat to security, public order, public safety, and peace and public health in BiH or BiH’s international relations.

Who is Goran Petronijevic?

Goran Petronijevic was first a judge until 2001, and his transition to lawyers came after the regime change in Serbia in 2000.

In his career as a judge, Petronijevic presided over the court in May 2000, when 141 Albanians were convicted of assaulting police and the army in Gjakova, Kosovo, but that sentence was overturned and they were all released a year later.

He was a member of Radovan Karadzic’s legal team and was one of the organizers of the anti-NATO protest in Nis, but the most important thing – Petronijevic was the defender of Bratislav Dikic, a former commander of the Serbian Gendarmerie accused of trying to stage a coup in Montenegro with the help of Russian intelligence to prevent the country from joining NATO.

At the end of January, Bratislav Dikic, according to Podgorica media, revoked the power of attorney of lawyer Petronijevic, because he wanted to admit guilt, but his lawyer forbade him. It should be noted that Dikic was also banned from entering BiH.

In March 2016, lawyer Petronijevic, together with Bratislav Dikic, was the organizer of the anti-NATO protest in Nis. In one of the numerous photos from that gathering, in the company of Goran Petronijevic and Bratislav Dikic, there is also the leader of the organization “Srbska cast” – Bojan Stojkovic. Nemanja Ristic, a convicted murderer from Serbia and a member of the Belgrade criminal group, was also with them at the time.

The Hague tribunal has opened an investigation against Petronijevic on suspicion that he committed an act of contempt of court, according to a court document from which the confidentiality mark was removed.

Petronijevic claimed that the Hague tribunal was only judging Serbs and believes that war criminal Ratko Mladic was also unjustly convicted.
