gusle_u_magliThe award “Kočićevo pero’ for fall 2013 will be awarded to Predrag Lucić for his work in “Gusle u magli”. The jury assessed that this was a high achievement in contemporary literature and devotion to beauty with the use of his words and ideas.

The jury for this literary prize is composed of writers Nikola Vukolić (president), Miljenko Jergović and Mladen Vesković, and the decision for the award was unanimous.

According to Vukolić, the author’s work is intended for third grade students of music, literature and medicine. In “Gusle u magli’ the author gave x-rays, at atlas of the pathology of the rotting of our society. He devoted a special place to language, which is no longer a linguistic but rather an exclusively political issue, in comparison of the new culture to the values of previous times, especially towards great masters of the word and artists.

The award ‘’Kočićevo pero’’ for fall 2013, awarded by the foundation Petar Kočić Banja Luka-Belgrade will be officially presented on Friday, 15 November at the ‘Interliber’ fair in Zagreb.
