Local authorities in Bratunac today, on the anniversary of the crime in Kravica, were prohibited the families of the victims from entering the complex of the Agricultural Cooperative. Zeljko Komsic, a member of the BiH Presidency, also commented on the ban on honoring.
Today, the families of the victims were denied access to the place of suffering in the Agricultural Cooperative in the village of Kravica near Bratunac, where 1,316 Bosniaks were killed on July 13, 1995.
“It is completely inhumane and uncivilized to prevent those who survived the genocide from honoring their loved ones at the place of execution. One only has to imagine what kind of reaction would follow if someone came across the idea of forbidding the victims of the Holocaust to honor those who were killed,” he said.
He believes that the authorities of the Republika Srpska entity “must stop with the savage practice of insulting the victims, both for the sake of the victims themselves and for the sake of the nation they claim to represent, and they shame it again and again”.
