Komsic: Croatia can hardly stop the Interest of NATO

After Zoran Milanovic, the President of Croatia, spoke yesterday about the final declaration after the NATO summit, for which he said he would not accept due to the position of the members of the alliance, the member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Zeljko Komsic, made a comment.

“Because of forcing the outdated ethnic concept of the constituency of the people, Croatia is coming into conflict with NATO,” he told.

Milanovic stated yesterday that he would not support the final declaration because some NATO members do not support the constituency in BiH and the Dayton Agreement. Komsic stressed that Croatia does not have the power to block the principles of that declaration.

“It is very clear from the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights that this concept should be rejected in BiH, just as it is clear that in the Reform Program (Annual National Program – ANP) we have committed ourselves to equality of all citizens, and not to the so-called constituency of the people. Croatia can hardly stop what is in the interest of NATO, in addition to advocating for what are not standards of NATO and the European Union (EU), ” told Komsic.

In the end, he concluded that what Croatian officials are looking for BiH is incompatible with NATO.

“Now NATO needs to decide whether the standards and interests of the alliance are more important to them, or the anti-NATO and anti-European standards of Croatian officials. The good thing is that the situation is crystallizing and things are becoming clearer,” he noted, Klix.ba writes.
