The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Elmedin Konaković, met today with the Special Envoy for the Western Balkans of the Republic of Slovenia, Anžej Frangeš.

Konaković informed his interlocutor about the complex political and social circumstances in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which as such significantly slow down the reform processes necessary for progress towards the EU, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH announced.

He stressed the importance of continuing Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path, emphasizing the need for political stability, acceleration of reforms and more active support from the European Union in overcoming the challenges that slow down the integration process.

Frangeš confirmed Slovenia’s consistent support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European perspective. He agreed that accelerating the EU accession process is of utmost importance for the country’s stability and prosperity, and stressed the readiness of the Republic of Slovenia to continue to support BiH on that path.
