protesti-bihacClose to 2.000 citizens of Bihać gathered today at the central square in order to express their dissatisfaction and demanded the resignation of the Una-Sana Canton government (USK).

The gathering began at around 12:30 at the City Square, where they then proceeded towards the government building of USK, where police officers were already present. Protestors shouted out ‘Thieves’ and ‘We Want A Resignation’.

According to media sources in Bihać, citizens from other towns in USK arrived to join the protestors. Police officers confiscated a number of Molotov cocktails.

The citizens asked the police to join them in solidarity.

A large group of protestors started towards the City Square in the direction of the house of the Prime Minister of USK Hamdija Lipovača, who, according to Facebook statuses, is in Bihać.

Stores in the center of Bihać are closed as a precautionary measure.
