The Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, spoke today in Sarajevo with the Head of the Delegation of the European Union in BiH, Johan Sattler, about the Growth Plan – the new investment package of the European Union for the Western Balkans.
During the meeting, it was pointed out that the Growth Plan was created to support the economic growth of BiH through approaching the single market of the European Union and with the aim of accelerating BiH’s progress towards full membership.
It is an investment package worth six billion euros, of which two billion euros are grants and four billion are loans.
The package is divided into four pillars, the first of which is the introduction of the Western Balkans into the single market, the second is the completion of the Common Regional Market, the third is the acceleration of fundamental reforms and the fourth is the increase of pre-accession funds.
Kristo said that the Growth Plan will certainly act as additional motivation for accelerating the process of European integration in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in the region, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.
