Krunic: Ibrahimovic has helped the Team already and will do even more in Future

Milan midfielder Rade Krunic reveals Zlatan Ibrahimovic has bonded with him over their Bosnian roots.

“I think that mentality helped his career.”

“Ibrahimovic is a champion who raises the level in training. He has helped the team already and will do even more in future,” Krunic told Sky Sport Italia.

“His father is Bosnian, like me, so he speaks my language. He hasn’t been back to Bosnia in a long time, so asked me about how things are going, the national team and football scene there.

“We are a bit different from the rest of Europe, let’s say, as we have a different way of thinking. I think that really helped Ibrahimovic, as he grew up in Sweden, but had to work hard to emerge and create a career, so he shares that ethic with us Bosnians.”

Milan brought Ibra in during the January transfer window to turn their season around, as they visit Cagliari today following two points from their last three rounds.

“This is a very difficult and important game for us. We’re coming off three not great results, so are a little disappointed, but also aware of our potential and hope to show that today.”
