Lagumdzija: Dodik decided to take 30 million BAM from the Federation of BiH without coming to Work

Former politician and respectable professor Zlatko Lagumdzija commented on the announcement by Milorad Dodik, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), that Republika Srpska (RS) will receive 38 percent of the money received from the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Lagumdzija noted that Dodik decided to take 30 million BAM of aid from the Federation of BiH (FBiH) without coming to work.

“On Wednesday, the IMF paid 602 million and 540 thousand BAM to the Central Bank of BiH, thus creating conditions for state institutions to make a decision on the distribution of these funds intended for the state’s health recovery and facing the economic and social crisis that was brought by the pandemic. So these funds have nothing to do with our authorities but are part of a global IMF aid package of $650 billion as part of the response to the overall global crisis, ” Lagumdzija explained.

The thunderous silence of the leaders of the ruling coalition

He added that after we were “hit” by international aid without any involvement of our authorities, the first buyer of the ruling four immediately appeared to enlighten local populists and partners.

“Instead of state institutions that should make a decision on the distribution of IMF funds based on the 25-year-old formula, according to which the RS gets 1 BAM if Federation receives 2 BAM, Presidency member Milorad Dodik said that RS would receive 38 percent of that money and that they already know how they will spend it. In other words, this man decided to take 30 million BAM of aid from the Federation without coming to work,” Lagumdzija told on Facebook.

First of all, he further explained, the decision on this can be made only by the Presidency, the Council of Ministers, and the Fiscal Council of BiH, and they can do that only if everyone returns and again starts to work in state institutions.

“The thunderous silence of the leaders of the ruling coalition, from SDA, DF, and HDZ, leaves doubt whether we are again facing populist and superficial shout without any results and with the further collapse of institutions or professional and patriotic action that will return Dodik to institutions and not allow RS to once again gets more than it deserves, ” emphasizedLagumdzija.

Also, he added that this must not end with Dodik’s pupils taking pity on us and decided to return to state institutions on the principle “let’s do whatever he wants, just let him come back to us”.

“The result must be a fair distribution of funds and not the fulfillment of Dodik’s wishes through the backs of the citizens of the Federation. Even if everyone returns to state institutions, no one has the right to give Dodik 30 million BAM, for which he claims that RS will receive if RS really gets 38 percent of the IMF funds. The public should be reminded that since Dayton, the law has defined the ratio of IMF funds 2 to 1 in favor of the Federation in relation to RS, ” concluded Lagumdzija, Klix.ba writes.
