Lagumdžija Organized a Meeting with Representatives of Diplomatic Missions in Preparations for Donor Conference

LAGUMDŽIJA ORGANIZIRAO SASTANAK S PREDSTAVNICIMA DIPLOMATSKOG KORA RADI PRIPREMA ZA DONATORSKU KONFERENCIJUDeputy Chairman of B&H Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Zlatko Lagumdžija organized today in Sarajevo a meeting with Ambassadors and Heads of International Missions accredited in B&H in order to prepare for a donor conference, more specifically to see in which phase is the emergency help to people and areas affected by floods and the transition to the second phase- the reconstruction phase.

As Lagumdžija announced at the press conference after the meeting, currently is ongoing the assessment of damages occurred by floods in which participate 140 people from various institutions, from local communities to the level of B&H, representatives UN, WB and European Commission as well.

“Today is confirmed that by 18 June we could have a final report on the damages, both direct and economic losses caused by these natural disasters. We have conveyed to the diplomatic missions that after the assessment of damages in a period of 2 -3 weeks or 5 weeks from now, we will to organize a donor conference. The damage assessment is an extremely important factor in the success of the donor conference”, said Lagumdžija.
