Multi-purpose Playground in Srebrenica klix.baThe Vice-President of the Government and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajčak yesterday visited Srebrenica and officially opened a multi-purpose playground whose construction was financed by the Government of Slovakia.

The main initiator of the project is Munir Pašagić from Srebrenica who lives in Slovakia, but he never forgot his origins and he is constantly making efforts to help Srebrenica and its citizens. One significant project was completed, which will primarily serve the young population.

Lajčak pointed out that this project is a good example of the launching of universal playgrounds.

“It is very important for me to be in Srebrenica. I could not come on July 11, but I promised I will come to pay tribute to the victims of the genocide. On the other side, I am happy that I am here and that we can do something for the future. I want this playground to serve your football players, although you eliminated us from the competition for the World Championships which was held in Brazil”, the former high representative in B&H joked.

Slovakia allocated nearly 70,000 EUR for this project.

The Mayor of Srebrenica Ćamil Duraković highlighted that this project is an evidence of how words are being turned into acts.
