The best female athlete from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lana Pudar, will make her first appearance today at this year’s Olympic Games in Paris.

Eighteen-year-old Pudar is expected to qualify today in the 100-meter butterfly, which will start at 11 a.m., while Pudar is in the second qualifying group.

She will swim in lane number 3, with Viola Scotto di Carlo (Italy), Vanessa Hazel Ouwehand (New Zealand), Yufei Zhang (China), Emma McKeon (Australia), Marie Wattel (France), Georgia Damasioti (Greece) and Ellen Walshe (Ireland).

Female swimmers will compete in a total of four qualifying groups, and the best 16 will secure placement in the semi-finals of the 100-meter butterfly.

The semi-finals are scheduled tonight from 20:30, and the final is scheduled for Sunday from 20:40.

At 11:45, the qualifications for men in the 400-meter freestyle will begin, and Jovan Lekić will perform there.

Lekić is in the second qualifying group and will swim in the sixth course, and will compete with Loris Bianchi (San Marino), Joaquin Vargas (Peru), Ilya Sibirtsev (Uzbekistan), Yean Hoe Khiew (Malaysia), Kregor Zirik (Estonia), Eduardo Cisternas (Chile) and Pavel Alovatki (Moldova).

If he makes it to the finals, where the eight fastest out of 38 qualifiers will qualify, we will see Lekić in the fight for a medal tonight from 20:42.

Broadcasts of both races of the Bosnian swimmers are provided on BHT 1. Therefore, Pudar’s performance is expected at 11:00 a.m., while Lekić should enter the pool at 11:45 a.m., Klix.ba writes.
