The best swimmer of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Lana Pudar (17) won a gold medal in the 200-meter-butterfly at the Junior European Championships in Belgrade.
After winning gold in the 100-meter butterfly, she repeated her great success in the twice-longer section, which she swam in 2:06.26, which is a new record for the European Junior Championships.
The second-placed Alina Baievych (Germany) was over four seconds behind (2:10.78), and the third-placed Glenda Abonyi-Toth (Hungary) crossed the finish line with a time of 2:11.61.
Previously, Lana was noticeably better than the competition in both the quarter-final and semi-final races and dominated until the main prize.
Lana Pudar’s rivals in yesterday’s final were Mehlika Kuzeh Yalcin (Turkey), Paola Borrelli (Italy), Laura Cabanes Garzas (Spain), Alina Baievych (Germany), Tabatha Avetand (France), Glenda Abonyi-Toth (Hungary), and Vivien Jackl (Hungary).
That was not all, because yesterday Lana also competed in the semifinals of the 50-meter-butterfly race, which started at 5:49 p.m, Klix.ba reports.
