Jusuf Nurkic is the most highest paid Bosnian Athlete in History

BH basketball player Jusuf Nurkic recently signed the new four-year long contract with the NBA team Portland Trail Blazers, and he will earn around 40 million EUR or almost 10 million a year in four years, which makes him the best paid athlete in BiH.

After signing the new contract, Nurkic surpassed Mirza Teletovic, who earned 9 million EUR a year as a member of Milwaukee Bucks. It is an interesting fact that BH center player expected even bigger financial offer, but none of the clubs, not even Portland, wanted to offer 15 or more million of USD per season.

According to analysts, Nurkic made a mistake by not accepting Portland’s qualifying offer of 4.75 million USD, after which he could receive 15 to 20 million USD per season for the following year.

The second best paid player is Miralem Pjanic who, according to his new contract with Juventus, will earn 6.5 million EUR, while Edin Dzeko earns 4.5 million EUR per year in Roma.

Dzanan Musa, who was elected in the NBA draft as the 29th pick, should earn 8 million EUR in Brooklyn Nets in four years, which is 2 million EUR per year.
