The Balkans is still an area for squabbling and balancing forces. Namely, what is unquestionable and a civilizational debacle for Europe, is the exact opposite for official Moscow. Marija Zaharova, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, asserted that the attitude towards Ratko Mladić was bloodthirsty and cannibalistic.
“Serbs have nothing to be sorry for. But this is exactly how they want to force the Serbian people and Serbia to succumb to the tragic events from the time of the breakup of Yugoslavia, for which part of the blame belongs to the bloody Western capitals. Hence such a bloodthirsty and cannibalistic attitude towards Ratko Mladić, who recently died inside the walls of the prison,” she said.
