The foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) at the end of August this year amounted to 19.89 billion KM and on an annual level they increased by 1.97 billion KM or 11 percent.
According to CBBH data, total loans to domestic sectors at the end of August this year amounted to 31.43 billion KM, and compared to the previous month, an increase in loans of 128.3 million KM (0.4 percent) was recorded. Credit growth was registered with the household sector for 125.8 million KM (0.8 percent), with government institutions for 73.5 million KM (3.7 percent), with non-financial public enterprises for 43.1 million KM (5.1 percent) and with other domestic sectors for 4.7 million KM (1.1 percent). A decrease in credit growth on a monthly basis was recorded among non-financial private companies by 118.8 million KM (one percent).
The annual growth rate of total loans in August was 14.5 percent, nominally 3.98 billion KM. Annual credit growth was registered in the household sector by 1.73 billion KM (12.4 percent), in private companies by 1.25 billion KM (11.3 percent), in government institutions by 763.8 million KM (58.9 percent), in non-financial public companies by 155.6 million KM (21.3 percent) and in other domestic sectors by 78.5 million KM (21.4 percent).
Total deposits of domestic sectors at the end of August this year amounted to 40.9 billion KM, compared to the previous month, deposits increased by 467.5 million KM (1.2 percent). The increase in deposits on a monthly level was registered by households by 137.6 million KM (0.7 percent), by private companies by 387.9 million KM (4.4 percent), by non-financial public companies by 6.3 million KM (0.3 percent) and by other domestic sectors by 63.5 million KM (2.8 percent). During that period, deposits with government institutions decreased by 127.6 million KM (2.1 percent).
In the structure of household deposits, the largest part refers to transaction accounts, 51.3 percent, while demand deposits account for 19.4 percent, and time deposits for 29.3 percent of total household deposits.
The annual growth rate of total deposits in August was 13.5 percent, which in absolute terms is 4.86 billion KM. The annual growth of deposits was registered in the household sector by 2.42 billion KM (12.9 percent), in the structure of which transaction accounts grew by 16.5 percent, demand deposits by 7.5 percent and term deposits by 10.6 percent.
The growth of deposits on an annual level was also recorded at private companies by 1.02 billion KM (12.3 percent), at government institutions by 1.05 billion KM (20.8 percent), at non-financial public companies by 100 million KM (5.3 percent) and at other domestic sectors by 275.4 million KM (13.4 percent).
