The factory of forgings and repulsive-tensile devices Unis-Tok, whose products are the forgings for the automotive industry and products for rail vehicles, is a successful example of BH privatization. Established in 1984 within the UNIS Sarajevo system, already in the first years of work the factory gained affirmation as the leading manufacturer of reflective-tension devices in Southeast Europe.
Unis-Tok employs 220 workers and the products from Kalesija are exported to Austria, Germany, Serbia, Montenegro, France, Hungary, Italy, Croatia and Turkey.
The director of Unis-Tok Mensur Hukic said that the expansion of the product range is planned in the coming period.
“It is about manufacturing laminated furniture, and the new production plant that consists of two halls is currently under construction, and it is to be completed by the end of the year“, said Hukic.
As the market cannot wait for their products, a section was temporarily separated in the plant for the production of interior and exterior carpentry for the production of laminated furniture, the machines have been placed and the work has begun.
The laminated furniture is intended for the export market. The first series have already started and by the end of the year, when everything settles down, more significant capacities are expected according to the plans.
By opening the new plant, a possibility was opened for new employment, and Hukic said that Unis-Tok is working on gathering the staff.
“About 30 people will work in the new plant for laminated furniture, while we plan on increasing the number of employees in the entire factory to 80, this and next year“, Hukic pointed out.
Besides the production of laminated furniture, it will also be worked on the production of briquettes and increasing machine capacities by 20 percent in the existing metal processing production.
