Revenues of Banks in BiH exceeded 1 billion BAM

moneyBanks in BiH achieved a total profit of 217.1 million BAM in the first nine months of this year, while three banks operated negatively in the amount of 48.5 million BAM, as showed by data of the entity banking agencies.

According to these data, the total income of banks in BiH in this period amounted to about 1.048 billion BAM, with recorded decrease in the RS, and growth in the FBiH, while total expenditures amounted to 824.5 million BAM.

From the Banking Agency of the RS stated that, based on the reports submitted by the banking sector of the RS,  a total of seven banks reported expressed net profit in the amount of 54.8 million BAM in the period from January to September this year, which is higher by 10%, or 4.9 million BAM, in comparison to the same period last year.

“From the 30th of September this year, one bank reported a net loss of 10.1 million BAM. The net profit of the banking sector at the end of the third quarter of 2016 totaled to 44.7 million BAM,” as stated from the Banking Agency of RS.

According to them, the total income of banks in the first nine months of this year amounted to 337.5 million BAM with a rate of decline of 8%, while total expenditures amounted to 286.5 million BAM and represent a decrease by 8% in comparison to the same period last year.

On the other hand, from the Banking Agency of the FBiH stated that the banking system in the FBiH recorded a positive financial result – profit of 172.4 million BAM, which is by 1 %, or about 2 million BAM less compared to the same period last year.

“Positive financial result of 210.8 million BAM was reported by a total of 14 banks, and a loss of 38.4 million BAM was reported by two banks,” as stated from the Banking Agency of the FBiH.
