More than 75 skiers and snowboarders competed at Jahorina on Sunday. Weather conditions on Sunday were not ideal for mass downhill skiing, but organizers were forced to change the track for racing which caused a big crowd at the finish line.
Due to the short track at the finish line, many competitors were driving through the finish line at high speed at one point, which caused crowd.
Bekes Michal arrived from Slovakia with his friends only because of the race. He was the best in a large crowd at the finish line and beat the fastest skiers. The fastest boarder was Dragan Samardzic from Visegrad, while the fastest woman was Ani Kapetanovic. The three of them received the award, a weekend for two at the hotel Termag on Jahorina.
This is the fourth time that a big downhill of skiers and snowboarders is organized on Jahorina.
As the sun sets, when the track converted into ice, started the race in which competitors run 150 meters in the ski boots to their skis and boards while racing down the track. For many participants, this is the first competitive experience and everyone is always happy about interesting after parties.
Last night, the snow melted on the tracks due to warm weather, but the weather conditions were favorable for the party outdoors.
After skiing, a few hundred young people had fun in front of the hotel Termag with sounds of Audio InFunktion & Zlijay who played back to back, and after them, DJ booth was occupied by audio-visual duo Diskobajagi.
The last weekend of February will remain in a great memory for hundreds of visitors at Jahorina.
