The three laws adopted at the last session of the National Assembly of the Republika Srpska acting of the President of Republika Srpska Ana Trišić Babić did not sign and they were sent back to the procedure again, it was confirmed for BL portal from the National Assembly of Republika Srpska.

– Namely, Acting President of Republika Srpska Ana Trišić Babić returned the law to the National Assembly for re-procedure and it will be considered at one of the next sessions. The reasoning on the reasons for returning the law to the National Assembly will be submitted by the session where the law will be adopted – the National Assembly states.

The Official Gazette of Republika Srpska also confirmed for “BL Portal” that the law had not even reached them, so it was not published.

Let us remind you that on December 24 last year, the members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska adopted the Draft Law on the Protection of the Population from Tobacco Products and Other Smoking Products, which, among other things, introduces a ban on smoking indoors, and persons who violate this will be fined from 1,000 to 2,000 KM.

The ban was supposed to take effect in a year.

When it comes to the laws adopted at the 17th regular session of the National Assembly of the RS, the Law on Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Srpska and the Law on Employment in Seasonal and Other Temporary Jobs were returned to the Assembly for decision.

The Law on Seasons was criticized by the public after its adoption when it was learned that it prohibits tax-free work in seasonal agricultural work for everyone except spouses, children and parents in the same household. Assessments were heard that according to this law, aunts, uncles and other relatives, brothers-in-law and neighbors who come to help with sowing, harvesting or slaughtering pigs, will have to be registered a day earlier with the Tax Administration of the Republic of Srpska and contributions will have to be paid for their work.

Amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Srpska provided that a prison sentence of up to one year can be replaced by a fine or community service if the court approves it. During the parliamentary discussion, it was emphasized that the personality of the convicted person, his attitude towards the crime and his willingness to compensate for the damage will be appreciated when deciding on the replacement of the prison sentence.
