chen boProminent Chinese professors held a lecture on the topic of “China & One Road one Belt” initiative, on the Faculty of Political Science in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH) capital Sarajevo on Wednesday.

Dean of the Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo Sacir Filandra thanked the Chinese delegation for being in Sarajevo and giving the lecture.

In particular, the lecture, which has attracted the audience of about 200 people said that it is China’s proposal to build a community of shared future for mankind and achieve shared and win-win development. The best way to materialize this is to promote Belt and Road initiative.

In the presence of great number of media and persons from political and social life of BiH, three prominent professors Yu Jun, Tang Aijun and Guo Wei, held separate lectures on the topic of “One Road, one Belt initiative” and Chinese perception of the initiative.

For his part, Jun stressed that the policy coordination, infrastructure connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial connectivity and people to people bond are the most important for the “Belt and Road Initiative”.

The lecture introduced how the peaceful development, mutual benefit and mutual respect are of a high importance for the development of “Belt and Road initiative”.

Amina Bolic, a third-year student of the Faculty of Political Science said that it important for BiH to enhance the relation with China, which will later help the country to access to new technologies and to build new infrastructure.

“During this lecture, I have learned a lot about the “Belt and Road Initiative” and in my opinion we will see the great geo economical changes in all states that will be influenced by the “The Belt and Road initiative” and I hope BiH will achieve profit from this project as well,” one of the participants, Jovan Maricic said.

Back in September and October 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed during his visits to Kazakhstan and Indonesia respectively the building of a Silk Road Economic Belt and a 21-Century Maritime Silk Road.
