hanPreparation of project documentation for Ajvaz-dedo’s Han in Prusac was completed over the past months in Donji Vakuf, and its construction should contribute development of tourism in this area.

During the marking of cultural and religious manifestations Days of Ajvatovica, thousands of believers and visitors from all over B&H and countries from all over the world are visiting Prusac. The main problem that they have encountered is the accommodation in case they decide to stay overnight or a few days, but the construction of Ajvaz-dedo’s Han should be a turning point to that problem.

“Days of Ajvatovica is very important for all of us in Donji Vakuf and for all Bosniaks in B&H and worldwide. On this occasion, we have started to build some infrastructures long time ago in order to facilitate the stay of visitors to Ajvatovica and the project of Ajvaz-dedo’s Han is something that should give us a major boost. We are currently on a positive zero, and the idea was born when we realized that we can keep the tourists for several days,” said Mayor of the Municipality of Donji Vakuf Huso Susic.

Han is designed to be a combination of modern and traditional construction with glass part in the middle, which would represent a cracking between two rocks.

“The project is conceived to resemble on the Ajvaz-dedo’s rock. Han has the appearance of broken rock in the style of the old construction of Prusac. The project was completed and now we are going to search for specific sponsors in order to get results,” said Susic, adding that the Han will be located on the land of the Islamic community.

Ajvaz-dedo’s Han is designed in the dimensions 33×12 meters, and it will be equipped with parking, modern restaurant and accommodation facilities. Barn for horses of tourists who are visiting the cultural and religious events will be provided as well.
