Refik Lendo, the newly elected vice president of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), in his first address after the election, said that he would not support the FBiH Government if Nermin Niksic was proposed as prime minister.
“The voting is over, I congratulate Ms. Lidija, she is the president, and we are the vice presidents. From today and in the coming period, we should work as a team in the interest of the Federation and the citizens of the Federation. This is how I will behave, I hope that when it comes to the Government of the Federation, we will be efficient and that we will finish our part of the work within thirty days,” said Lendo.
When asked what it means to be efficient, he said that he will strive “within the framework as stated by the law and in the next thirty days to harmonize and choose the Government of the Federation. That the president gives us a proposal and that we give our consent”.
He added that the SDA will participate in all this and that he is a member of the SDA and a representative of Bosniaks, and that if the proposal for prime minister is Nermin Niksic, he will not support that government.
“We as president and two vice presidents have to decide together. That’s what the Constitution and the law said, any other combination is not good for BiH,” concluded Lendo, Klix.ba reports.
