The Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Refik Lendo sent an invitation to the meeting of the presidents of the SDA, HDZ of BiH and SDP with the elected leadership of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, April 17.
In the invitation addressed to Bakir Izetbegović, Dragan Čović, Nermin Nikšić and FBiH President Lidia Bradara and Vice President Igor Stojanović, Lendo states that he is addressing them regarding the fact that on April 6, the deadline set by the FBiH Constitution for the election of a new convocation of the FBiH Government expired.
He reminds that the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament adopted a set of relevant decisions at its session on April 6, including the Conclusion calling on all participants in the process of forming the government to urgently find a solution in order to respect the constitutionality and legality of the work of the executive power in the Federation of BiH.
“At the meeting with the leadership of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina held on April 5, 2023, and then at the press conference on April 7, 2023, High Representative Christian Schmidt reiterated his position on the need to reach an agreement that would result in the election of a new convocation of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina . Taking into account all of the above, and the fact that dialogue and compromise are the only possible solution, in my capacity as the vice president of the Federation of BiH, I invite the presidents of the parties that proposed the elected candidates for president/vice president of the Federation of BiH (SDA, SDP and HDZ BiH) to a meeting with the members of the leadership of the Federation Bosnia and Herzegovina, where the completion of the process of the election of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina would be discussed,“ is stated in the invitation of the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Refik Lendo.
The information about the invitation to the meeting was also delivered to the High Representative Christian Schmidt.
