List of the Best Breakfasts in the World Published: Can You Guess Which Bosnian Dishes Made the Cut?

The popular food guide Taste Atlas has published a list of the best breakfasts in the world, and among the 50 highest-rated, as many as three traditional dishes from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) were included.

The best-rated cuisines in the world are ranked according to the average ratings of the highest-rated dishes and food products from each country.

Thus, Serbia, Libya, and Iran achieved equal average ratings of 4.6, while Turkey took first place thanks to the exceptionally high rating of 4.8 received by its most famous breakfast – kahvalti.

BiH can also boast an excellent result. In 21st place was kljukusa with an average rating of 4.5, while burek took 24th place with a rating of 4.4. Another well-known dish, sirnica, was ranked 35th, also with a rating of 4.4.

Interestingly, more than 50 dishes and food items from BiH have been rated on this site, and among them are certainly: burek, cevapi from Sarajevo, Banja Luka, and Travnik, suho meso (dried meat), sarma, pite (pies), somun, Livno and Travnik cheese, kvrgusa and kljukusa.

It should be recalled that Taste Atlas publishes an annual list of the best cuisines in the world every year, and BiH cuisine was only ranked 68th last year.
