BANJA-LUKA-DOBOJ-AUTOPUT(source Prnjavorski)“It’s not about unanticipated increase in costs which occurred during the implementation of the project, but about the planned total value of the project. At the time of contracting with the EBRD it was known that the total value of the project was 185 million euros. Due to higher loan, the EBRD was initially approved by the lower amount of the loan of 150 million euros”, said Bogićevićeva.

She added that on the request of the “Highways of Republic of Srpska” the Ministry of Finance requested from the EBRD additional credit of 35 million euros, which was approved by the bank.

“Loan funds are intended to finance the construction of the main route of the highway Banja Luka-Doboj. Shares Prnjavor-Doboj in a length of about 37 kilometers, then the construction of local roads in the length of 23 kilometers and a professional and technical supervision of construction works”, said Bogiceviceva.

She concluded that the objective of the project is the construction of motorway which will link Banjaluka-Doboj with the European route E 661 and corridors “VC” which will include the Srpska in the development of the road infrastructure BiH.

President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Nedeljko Cubrilovic said that the vote on the discussed items will be held today at 16:30 o’clock.
