Local Elections in Srebrenica not to be repeated?

The Appellate Division of the Court of BiH rejected the appeal of the independent candidate for mayor of Srebrenica, Camil Durakovic, to cancel elections in Srebrenica and recount votes, after which the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of BiH became final.

Complaints on the results of local elections in Srebrenica were filed with the aim of challenging the election results after determining irregularities on election day due to the fact that, as alleged, many citizens were allowed to vote with invalid documents, and that the police raided the building of the municipality of Srebrenica after which election material was not under the supervision of the Municipal Election Commission.

At the same time, the appeal was addressed due to the decision of the CEC BiH not to count voting material that arrived by mail after the 4th of October, although it has stamps of the 2nd of October 2, the day of local elections in BiH, which is around 2,000 envelopes.
