Lazio won the Coppa Italia for the sixth time by beating city rivals Roma 1-0 in a day of high tension at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
Senad Lulić, BiH football player, tapped home the winning goal from close range in the 70th minute after Roma goalkeeper Bogdan Lobont tipped Antonio Candreva’s cross into his path.
The victory qualifies Lazio for the Europa League, salvaging a disappointing season and rubbing salt into the wounds of their old foes, who miss out on European football despite finishing sixth – one place clear of their rivals.
After the match, Lulić said that the victory is very important to him and to his team, especially since it’s against Roma.
Lulić was born in Mostar in 1986, he played for Grasshopper, Bellinzona, Chur 97, Young Boys and since 2011 he’s been playing for Lazio.
Since 2008 he’s been a regular player of BiH National Football team.
