The world’s biggest pop star Madonna has supported the student protests in Serbia on her official Instagram profile.

She took over and posted a short video of thousands of demonstrators in Novi Sad on her account with the title: “Power of unity”.

“What the media is not reporting is that we are witnessing one of the largest student movements since 1968,” the message reads.

“Support such unity everywhere in the world!!”, concluded Madonna.

A similar message of support for the students was sent via Instagram by the world’s greatest conceptual artist Marina Abramović.

She wrote on a completely black background, in white letters: “Students from Serbia are the heroes of today”.
