13115628_1165913510126270_2024983195_nCelebration of the 25th anniversary of successful operations and the glamorous celebration of the 1000th issue of the “Azra” magazine held last night attracted numerous individuals from public life of BiH and the region to the Avaz Twist Tower in Sarajevo.

The event gathered around 500 invitees from BiH and the region, including Ljubiša Samardžić, Raka Marić, Zdravko Čolić, Jusuf Nurkić, Emir Hadžihafizbegović, Halid Bešlić, Željko and Ružica Bebek, Branko Đurić Đuro and Tanja Ribič, Lepa Brena, Milutin Mima Karadžić, Refik Šabanadžović, Tonči Huljić, Petar Grašo, Bojana Gregorić-Vejzović, Senad Bašić, Elvir Laković Laka, Saša Popović, Nina Badrić, Aki Rahimovski, and numerous other eminent names from the world of music, acting, sport and show business.

In addition to special surprises for the guests, the Magical Night in Sarajevo was also marked with fireworks and a red carpet. The band “Divanhana” was there to entertain the guests.

“First issue of the ‘Azra’ magazine was published almost 20 years ago. The first BiH magazine for woman and family created what is now a public scene of our society. We were promoters and actors. How it is going for us? We reached a thousand! How much do we mean? The answer to that question is tonight’s hall and people we gathered. You are our partners, our interlocutors, friends and co-players in this match that means a life. Thank you for showing us how much we mean to you,” said Elameri Škrgić-Mikulić, editor-in-chief of the “Azra” magazine.

“It is a big deal to celebrate the 1000th issue of ‘Azra’ magazine and 25th anniversary of the Avaz group. What is impressing is that one company survives for such a long time, despite all problems, it is impressing that people receive their wages on time and that people get employed. The fact that one magazine celebrates its 1000th issue means a lot, given that the Internet is taking over today and there is this fight between the media. But ‘Azra’ manages to survive. I express my deepest wishes to Avaz as a group and the ‘Azra’ magazine that they celebrate the 10.000th edition as well,” said the actor Enis Bešlagić.

“Avaz is a synonym for success. People expect numbers from me, as the director general. As a journalist, people expect concrete data from me. And no one expects me to talk a lot. In the past 25 years, Avaz spent the amount of paper sufficient to wrap the planet Earth six times. Nearly 400 million newspapers were printed. We built four impressive facilities in which we invested 200 million BAM. We paid tax for that, and for all other activities, amounting to circa 40 million BAM, and additional 50 million BAM for contributions. At least 1.500 families live of our work, directly and indirectly. Our newspapers are being sold at over 4.000 sales points. We grow and we expand. We go ahead, together with you. Thank you for that,” said Sead Numanović, Director of the company “Avaz-roto press”.

The gala party “Magical Night in Sarajevo” ended with a spectacular fireworks which lit up the sky above Sarajevo.
