The Main Reasons of Cancelling the Export of Weapons to Ukraine

weaponsThe BiH Presidency adopted at the regular session an opinion that the export of weapons and military equipment from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Ukraine at the moment is not in the interest of the foreign policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, because it does not contribute to regional security, stability and current international diplomatic efforts to achieve a peaceful solution to the crisis in Ukraine.

It was also pointed out that the foreign policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards tis international partners is based on openness and equality, mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, principles of peaceful cooperation, respect for international law and respect for mutual interests.

The BiH Presidency believes that the crisis in Ukraine can be solved only by peaceful, democratic means, through political dialogue and negotiations, with full respect for international law.

Also, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina welcomed the initiative of German Chancellor and President of France, and called on all stakeholders to constructively engage in political and diplomatic dialogue and negotiations to achieve a peaceful solution to the crisis in Ukraine, said the BiH Presidency.
