In a coordinated operation by the Federal Police Administration (FPA), more than 20 people were arrested in the Una-Sana Canton this morning, including, according to available information, members of the police. The operation covers several locations and is being carried out with the assistance of the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Prijedor area.

According to unofficial information, the arrested are linked to years of bribery, all in the context of the illegal transport and exploitation of coal from the Kamengrad mine. The investigation focuses on a large company that has been operating in the Krajina region for years, and which is suspected of using corrupt connections to carry out illegal activities without hindrance.

This is one of the most extensive anti-corruption operations in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in recent times, the legal and political consequences of which are yet to come.
