A former member of the army Fikret Dedic, who was sentenced to six months in prison for stealing three meters of wood, was released from custody on Tuesday morning after residents collected 13,000 BAM and paid for him.

As is known, Dedic had monthly income of 50 BAM, which was not enough to support his family. He was also injured several times during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

A few days ago, Fikret Dedic’s wife, Ramiza, told Avaz news portal that the children could not wait for their father to return from prison. “The children are overjoyed and can’t wait to hug their father,” Ramiza said.
