The Archbishop of Vrhbosna and the President of the Bishops' Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cardinal Vinko Puljic, sent words of support to Pope Francis, who is recovering after a surgery at the Roman hospital "Gemelli".
"I follow the information about your recovery after the surgery with great interest and attention through social media. Relying on God's providence and the expertise of the medical staff who care for you, I hope that you will recover as soon as possible and return to your Catholic Church management responsibilities." , states Puljic in the message.
He conveyed greetings and prayers, not only his own, but also on behalf of all Catholics in BiH, their bishops and priests, monks and nuns, and, as he stated, he believes in all other citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He adds that in June 2015, they themselves experienced the Pope's presence in Sarajevo and recognized him as a sincere friend.
"You have often called us to pray for you, and in these challenging times I believe you are drawing strength from it. United in prayer with the whole Church and with a desire for a speedy recovery, I sincerely greet you," Puljic concluded in a message from the Vrhbosna Archdiocese.
