With the opening of the exhibition “In memory of …”, which the author Ajla Sejfuli dedicated to researchers of the past of Travnik, started manifestation “May Days of the Museum” in Regional Museum of Travnik.
“The aim of this exhibition is to recall on some researchers, cultural workers, historians and archaeologists who dedicated their careers to research past of Travnik and its surrounding areas. They were originally from Travnik and their careers took them to other cities, but they were closely tied to their homeland and dealt in large part of their career with the history of Travnik, either by studies, research or publication of scientific papers,” said the curator Sejfuli.
This exhibition was dedicated, among others, to following scientists: archaeologist Mihovil Mandic, who dedicated a large number of his works to Travnik, Jozo Petrovic, who initiated a number of archaeological research, and Stipo Lozic, who was responsible for the establishment of the Regional Museum of Travnik.
The exhibition “In memory of…” was opened in the botanical garden of the Regional Museum, as part of the manifestation “May Days of the Museum”, and for Thursday and Friday is planned workshop “The museum depot – students as curators”, when high school students will present museum collections and they will be in the role of the curator.
