bih-sad-696x456The latest research in the USA shows that 50.000 people originating from BiH live in St. Louis, stated the Director of the International Institute in St. Louis Anna Crosslin.

In the period from 1993 until 2001, this Institute helped 7.000 refugees from BiH to settle in St. Louis.

“Without a doubt, the arrival of people from BiH meant a lot for this city, who recorded a fall in the number of residents at the time. Refugees from BiH also contributed to better economic development of certain urban areas,” Crosslin said.

The analyses have also shown that immigrants in the USA who earned more than 83.000 annually established a large number of companies.

“Citizens who originate from BiH significantly contribute to the community, pay taxes, and in the past period they opened a large number of workplaces,” said Crosslin.
