How many Tourist visited BiH in July and who stayed the longest?

tourists2A total of 128,474 tourists visited BiH in July, which is 22.7 % more than in June, and by 23.8 % more compared to the same month of the previous year.

Tourists recorded 289,133 overnight stays in July, which is by 39.5 % more compared to June and by 24.4 % more than in July 2015, according to the Agency for Statistics of BiH.

When it comes to the total number of overnight stays, the share of domestic tourists was 23.2 % and 76.8 % of foreign tourists.

Number of overnight stays of domestic tourists in July was decreased by 3.6 % compared to June, but it increased by 1.2 % in comparison to the same month last year, while the number of overnight stays of foreign tourists was increased by 61.3 % compared to June and by 33.7 % compared to July last year.

Most of the overnight stays were realized by tourists from Poland who make 8.5 %, followed by tourists from Turkey 8 %, Croatia 5.4 %, Serbia 4.9 %, Slovenia 4.7 %, Italy 4.6 % and Kuwait 4.5 %, while tourists from other countries realized 59.4 % of overnight stays.

As for the length of stay of foreign tourists in BiH, on the first place is Island with an average stay of 4.7 nights, than Lithuania with 4.2 nights, Ireland, Kuwait and Latvia with 3.4 nights and France with 3.3 nights.

A total of 17,171 rooms, apartments and camp sites was available for tourists in July in BiH, which is 9.1 % more than in July last year, and they also had 36,842 available beds, which is 10.2 % more compared to the same month last year.
